Business Case
This module highlights the growing importance of soft skills and reviews research on what sets successful leaders apart in an era that demands clear, sensitive communication. The module also emphasizes the value of self-awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ) in advancing leadership potential and inspiring excellence in others.
Self-Awareness
This module helps learners clarify their values and motivations to improve communication and leadership presence. Through self-examination, they identify strengths and areas for growth. By the end of the course, learners will create a clear statement outlining their growth opportunities.
External Feedback
Acknowledge the value of external feedback in leadership development. Assess how feedback supports communication, identify key types of feedback for effective leadership, and select suitable feedback partners to support growth.
Communication
The program presents 48 specific, actionable, and positive behaviors. Its push-pull model provides a framework for participants to monitor and adjust their own actions while improving their understanding of others. This real-time awareness helps individuals build trust and manage change more effectively within diverse teams.
Giving Feedback
This module presents a structured approach to reduce apprehension and deliver feedback, including praise, in a clear and constructive way. The DAP technique, which builds on the push-pull model, helps learners prepare for and conduct effective feedback conversations. DAP includes three steps: Describe, which states the facts; Appreciate, which shares the giver’s evaluation; and Prescribe, which outlines desired future actions.
Coaching Conversations
This module helps learners build agility and flexibility when moving between communication roles. It clarifies the differences between development through feedback and coaching, and identifies when each is most effective. The module also examines coaching as a communication style, beginning with the push-pull model, then introducing the Pull Progression method, and finally expanding to the use of powerful questions.
